People believe the things we show them. I've come to be an expert at letting people to believe the things i show purposely or not. The things that you 'think' you know about me are all the things i want you to know.
This facade i think everyone has. The things you post on your social media are the things that you are comfortable of sharing. You share the music you listen to, some are which you truly do but some just to show that you listen to more exotic and not following the trend type of music.
Its the same with picture. All the pictures we take are so typical because its what we see. It's what that is being advertised. plus it looks pretty.
I was watching the TV series, You from Netflix and the first episode, its so relatable how everything Joe was analysing was somewhat true as you go along the series.
"She doesn't like to be ogled but she wants a little attention"
"Your online life isn't real."
Who really wants to show their troubles? Who wants a sad and depressing picture to post?
Those people who don't get wrapped up on the social media are real genuine people. I know, i know there is the low points of not staying connected. But let's be real, life isn't about connecting to a million people, it's about making that one connection that could last a million years.
The point is, painting a picture for people to adore is easy but don't start blaming people that they don't understand. They don't really know. All they know is you look happy.
The special few that can look pass the facade are people who either are going through the same or just weirdly gets your unspoken language.
